Nov. 3rd, 2009 04:24 pmSince I'm too much of a hedonist I didn't really celebrate Allerheiligen and Allerseelen, but I lit some candles as my way of paying homage to the deceased. That's about as far as I get every year.
I have friends in Germany who are insisting I attend the Martinstag celebration, just around the corner. I'll think about it, I guess I could use a small break from all of the pent up tension...and it has been a while since since I've been to the Cologne Carnival...maybe I'll get to be one of the three Dreigestirn...ahhh childhood dreams. Out of the Jungfrau, Prinz, and Bauer I wanted to be the Prinz, naturally! I can't see myself as the Bauer and I doubt anyone would want to see me as a Jungfrau...lightening would strike! Though I'm sure there is a market for unusal fetishes.
Hmmm...I may take the time off.
