[accidental video ]
[When the feed cuts on there are a few things so incredibly obvious about the scene that anyone familiar with Klavier would know instantly that this was not typical:
A. He has no idea he's being recorded...well this is pretty normal...but his enduring lack of awareness is not.
B. He is in his office and he seems to be working diligently. When has he ever been shown in his office working harder than he plays?
C. Judging by the mountain of paper work and his unkempt, unpolished, devil-may-care appearance he appears to have been here for a while.
And
D. The look on his face suggests he's in a very bad mood on this very fine day.
Which doesn't help when his secretary comes in to check his pulse, thus disturbing the furious flow of his work. And the community is treated to the following interaction:]
What are you doing?
I wanted to make sure you were alive...you've holed yourself up and you haven't come out for hours. Aren't you hungry? Tired?
I'm neither, now leave me, I'm busy.
Clearly something is bothering you, you're more dedicated to your paper work than normal. Won't you trust me and tell me what it is?
I've learned a valuable lesson about naiveté and trust and that it's okay to trust people up till and except when evidence to the contrary proves you're mistaken. Then you're just being gullible.
Anything I can help with?
No, please leave.
But I'm really concerned about you.
I don't need you to be, now leave me alone.
But Mr. Gavin-
[The usually tolerant Klavier brings his fist down hard against the table he's working at sending some papers and a few unstable items flying off while startling his secretary. For a moment his expression is a bit unhinged and vaguely reminiscent of another Gavin.]
Oh!
I said get out!
Yes...you're right...I apologize...
[And soon enough Klavier is alone again in his office and though he seems calm his mood hasn't changed.]
Damn...
[ooc: Normal text is Klavier, italics belong to his secretary.]

[He leans back further in the chair; sitting is the best position to keep the other at ease, for now, even if he tries to use it to infuriate him.] Decided to take back yer own office? Thatta boy... It's no good if a prosecutor's chased out of his own office by a criminal.

Since he's not looking up, he's not watching Greed so he's not concerned with the door at the moment, just his own overwhelmed self.]

I'm the one who's got you wound up enough to be treatin' three good lookin' girls who wanna pour some attention on you real cold. That's me ruining that for you, too.
It's a side you don't wanna show no one, right? But it's slipping. I'll even get to your image at this rate.

...Greed...
...
[action spam]
Him or you. Who do you think I'm here for right now?
[action spam]
For me...you're here...

I don't understand, why would you volunteer for something like that?
[action spam]
[action spam]
Anyway...Aren't I like this because of you? Why do you like to irritate me, don't you like me at all?
[The chair seems to be too far to walk to so the attorney stays put for the time being.]
[action spam]
As much as I can, right? [It's questionable whether he means that's how much he likes to irritate him, or whether that's an answer to whether he likes him at all.] But as long as it's an honest response outtah you, even if it means some not-so-hot side comes out, or even if it means I end up making a dark side that ain't there, or even if you end up crying, or even if you end up annoyingly cool, I wanna see it. So I'll take it!

Well, they are alone. Still mechanical, his arm raises, giving the blonde an awkward pat on the head, probably pushing a little too hard with his hand.] Not 'just.'
I wanted to see you snap. Who else's gonna push you? But, even if you don't snap, there's other reasons to push you...

[Greed's sudden awkwardness does nothing to encourage Klavier to move, if anything he's too comfortable where he is and too exhausted to care. Once his instincts tell him that the threat has passed he's again at ease with closeness and contact.]
