[When the feed cuts on there are a few things so incredibly obvious about the scene that anyone familiar with Klavier would know instantly that this was not typical:

A. He has no idea he's being recorded...well this is pretty normal...but his enduring lack of awareness is not.

B. He is in his office and he seems to be working diligently. When has he ever been shown in his office working harder than he plays?

C. Judging by the mountain of paper work and his unkempt, unpolished, devil-may-care appearance he appears to have been here for a while.

And

D. The look on his face suggests he's in a very bad mood on this very fine day.

Which doesn't help when his secretary comes in to check his pulse, thus disturbing the furious flow of his work. And the community is treated to the following interaction:]

What are you doing?

I wanted to make sure you were alive...you've holed yourself up and you haven't come out for hours. Aren't you hungry? Tired?

I'm neither, now leave me, I'm busy.

Clearly something is bothering you, you're more dedicated to your paper work than normal. Won't you trust me and tell me what it is?

I've learned a valuable lesson about naiveté and trust and that it's okay to trust people up till and except when evidence to the contrary proves you're mistaken. Then you're just being gullible.

But Mr. Gavin-

[The usually tolerant Klavier brings his fist down hard against the table he's working at sending some papers and a few unstable items flying off while startling his secretary. For a moment his expression is a bit unhinged and vaguely reminiscent of another Gavin.]

[And soon enough Klavier is alone again in his office and though he seems calm his mood hasn't changed.]

[He watches the ball of oniony, meaty grease and corn syrup laden frozen imitation fruit juice fly with his kick and land on the floor, where it's still determined to leave a grease stain as proof of Greed's generous meal offering. He looks back to the blonde, decidedly feisty enough for a fight again, to the sheets, back to the greased bag, to the sheets, to Klavier, to the sheets, and finally to Klavier again.

He's seen quite a lot of sides of the attorney today. He feels the need to vocalize his learnings.]

You got into the habit of eatin' the after-juice just to keep it from drying on yer sheets, didn't you?

Herr...you're supposed to be a classy guy, I thought you would understand luxury...come here and look...[Klavier waves Greed toward the bed, before pulling up a corner of the bed sheet in an attempt to explain his strange behavior.]...these sheets are made of the finest merino wool backed with a thousand-count Egyptian cotton...but look closer these hand-made sheets are also threaded with gold. I can promise you that has nothing to do with why I swallow...that's something I do because I figure it gives you some pleasure...but I won't do it if it doesn't please you.

[Greed doesn't look too impressed. He wonders if he should pet the sheets, if that would suddenly make it clear. His own bed has some pretty damned fine sheets, even if they're not gold threaded.... Now he wants to try gold threaded, mind you, but...] What's the point of luxury if you can't take it for granted?

[As for swallowing, he's going to ignore that topic; it's a dangerous one to approach when in the bedroom. He's already almost crossed that line once today.]

It's fine if you take me for granted, but this is the place where I spend 1/3 of my time [and he says this while sinking down onto the bed, content that he saved it before the grease had a chance to stain his sheets.]

A nice bed's only good if you can do whatever you want in it. Once it's so nice it ends up somethin' you worry about instead of enjoying, it gets downgraded. [But he'll let it go, taking a step back and giving the ex-rocker and his high-dollar bed, and the entire room itself a look.] ...Anyway. That's probably enough for today.

I just think it's good for my skin and my health if I'm not falling asleep on top of a pile of grease, it's not that I don't appreciate the gesture...[alright, he feels a little bad about that especially since Greed went through that trouble for him. And so he stands up and crosses the room where Greed is standing]...leaving already? After all that discussion about what I choose to do in my bed? [And without further ado Klavier lands a kiss on Greed's cheek] I don't want you walking out of here thinking I'm not appreciative.

[He looks a little surprised by the approach, then outright confused. At the last minute, his hand tries to rise up to cover the other's face and stop him, but it's too little, too late. It's hard to say if he's put off or still just confused by the gesture.] ... Weird.

It's impossible to go any further with a man who isn't interested, I just wanted to show you my appreciation. It's not that weird.

[He may look annoyed at something, but that's normal enough for Greed.] Weren't you pissed off at me or something? Don't think anything's changed just 'cause I'm letting you sleep it off to clear yer head a little...

I'm too tired to be pissed off and when I wake up I'll have let it go. You're off the hook this time, Herr...lucky...you're like a cat with your nine lives.

[A nudge back towards the bed.] Yeah. You might run away shirtless on me again. Then I'll be in trouble.

[Right, he knows a nudge toward the bed when he sees it, fine if you want him asleep that bad he'll take the hint. He's already stripped off his shirt, socks and shoes, now he does the one thing that had been impossible for Greed to do earlier. he kicks off his pants] I suppose you'll be around to harass me again another day.

[Well. That's worth a good hard stare. He probably won't actually glance up to make eye contact again until Klavier's under the blanket, but he still seems to keep the usual disinterested tone.]

Just keep makin' yerself feel good by makin' my monk feel good. He really doesn't seem to want anything else out of you right now. Even said anything deeper'd be a pain, so... [It may be a little insulting, the face Greed makes with that statement. It has nothing to do with what he's looking at, but with such a shameless, guileless gawk, it might be hard to really believe he has anything else going on in his mind. In fact, most people have a hard time believing as much even when he's not specifically leering at their exposed flesh.]

I don't have a problem being kind to Issei, I don't even have a problem with sex...it becomes a problem when I require your permission to do what I please...your regulations, your boundaries...can't you see it's strangling me Herr. It's cutting off the creative flow and my own desire...I don't think I could concentrate on sex knowing you're out there just waiting to chew my ass out. I'd end up with performance anxiety if I had to relive this experience over in my mind with Issei...face it, you're traumatizing me...don't you remember what I said? Not a single good memory to show for the day, not one scrap of motivation...you ask for too much this time, knowing full well there's not a request you could make that I would deny, if you had a real request to make of me...[and Klavier, shameless, takes a seat on the edge of the bed, propping one foot up on his thigh and leaning forward. He catches the look and heaves a long suffering sigh.] If you're not attracted you don't have to stare, but a man's body isn't so bad, Herr.

Then just forget I exist and keep enjoying him. [Annnnd.... eyes up again.] I won't touch you 'till he starts gettin' down on himself for doin' the quick, nice 'n easy thing with you. Since you already did him once, yer already on the block for that as soon as the blade comes down. As long as you don't do anything to set him off before he sets himself off, you'll be doin' as good as you can.

Hell, you figure he'll be fine with it the rest of his life, right? You'd feel like shit, too, if you did that with someone who'd end up regretting it later.

Keepin' it up and never mentioning any kinda problem you got with him's the best way to keep him from regretting it. That's the best way to keep you happy, too.

If I love someone else it would only be using Issei as a substitute by having repeat sexual encounters with him which is something he would feel bad about as well.
