[As the camera cuts on, the scene that plays out is a highly unusual one and more than a little uncharacteristic where Klavier is concerned.

What’s highly unusual about the situation is that Klavier is presently in an ICU unit with a large glass window separating the viewer from the events inside of the room and preventing them from fully understanding what is going on. Even if you could hear anything it would take a really adept ear to pick up on the frenzied muddle of conversation.

So what is Klavier doing in ICU? Well presently it’s uncertain why, but there’s a struggle going on between the doctors, nurses and everyone’s favorite ex-rocker/prosecutor who they are trying to pin to the bed. Unfortunately Klavier seems to be going out of his way to give his caretakers a hard time. One of the nurses, male, has the misfortune of putting his face in the path of the prosecutor’s fist resulting in what would probably be a nasty black-eye later. Several other nurses are thrown off or knocked out of the way during the struggle.

In between slugging it out with the hospital faculty he is further hampering them by ripping off his electrodes and pulling out his IV until he’s forcefully slammed down and his wrists and ankles are restrained. A nurse can be seen jabbing a needle into his arm which is obviously a sedative of some sort because it doesn’t take long for his body to go limp and the struggling to cease.

Not much can be seen afterward because blinds are closed, but there is a small queue of people ready to harass the doctor once he steps out into the hallway. This may illuminate the situation a little bit, but for the most part the following conversation is somewhat vague:]

So, what’s wrong with him?

We’re not really sure at this point; he has a laundry list of symptoms including light sensitivity, confusion, delirium, convulsions, headaches, tachycardia, and there could be others. It seems consistent with the other patients who were at The Alinea...we’re still trying to find the common source…

You know, there were some important diplomats from Europe there, I understand the Minister’s wife was also…

You think someone did this on purpose?

It could be. You think Prosecutor Gavin will be up to the task if this turns out to be a CI?

We don’t even know who the criminal is if there is one.

Or why those people got sick, for all we know the monkfish could have been bad.

I don’t think its monkfish…

Or if Prosecutor Gavin will even feel up to the task.

We’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, we have to find out what’s wrong with the patients first and then you can determine whether it was an accident or if there was some kind of criminal activity involved...

[The feed cuts off with the ongoing conspiracy and a doctor who is being completely dismissed.]

[Fifteen minutes later, to be precise. The only reason he even waits that long is to make it a little less obvious he has his own world hop device and provided his own ride.

He heads in as if he were expected the entire time, with a friendly, conversational greeting.] You look like shit.

[Fifteen minutes is enough time for to have a nurse store his laptop away and fall into an uneasy doze...

...until he's startled awake by Greed's unexpected presence.

It takes him almost a minute to figure out where he is and what's going on before he raises an arm to wave 'hello', or would, but he's forgotten that his range is limited.] I told you, wasn't exaggerating.

[Greed has no concern for Klavier's need for rest and sleep. Immediately leaning against the edge of the bed and getting comfortable, he gropes one of the shackles over his wrist cheerfully. None of that typical hospital based discomfort for this visitor.] Yeah, but now I get to really see you look like shit in person. It's even more real.

[It's probably fortunate that Klavier isn't all that interested in sleeping, it's just that there's nothing else for him to do. He also has a pretty good idea of how he looks, while clean and comfortable in his hospital gown and crisp sheets such things as hair styling were not a priority. He'd certainly lost some weight, he looked tired, the red filling the whites of his eyes was unpleasant and something he refused to look at and he looked like a spectacle hooked up to a monitor and his IV] I don't know if they have cameras in the gift shop, but if you want a picture it's a good time to get one because this will never be seen again

[The smirk fades to a serious expression. He is joking, but it's not as fun if Klavier knows that.] Give me dollars.

[Klavier may not be able to use his hands, but he can point and he points to a small dresser on the other side of the room] My clothes are folded up in one of those drawers...my wallet should be on the inside of my coat pocket...there are bills in there. [If Greed was going to get a camera he wasn't going to say no or stop him, he wanted the other to stay for a little while...he was so damn bored and Greed was one of the few people he knew who had no connection at all to his work.]

Heee. [Greed wastes no time fetching said wallet, holding it up triumphantly once he finds it.] I oughtta mug people in hospitals more often.

[For the time being, Greed tucks it--the entire wallet--away in his vest pocket and leans his forearms on the bed again, taking a good, long look at him and the machines and tubes he's hooked up to. Fortunately for Klavier he has been in a newer hospital before or he'd be groping things and pushing buttons.]

[Fortunately it's only cash, not credit cards, so Greed can't rob him blind...not that he'd be able to use the credit cards, but there's still a hefty sum of cash in his wallet. As long as Greed's hanging around for the time being it's nothing he could do without, just a drop in the bucket. Of course there are pictures and a few personal effects in his wallet, not to mention his heart key ring with his keys] How does it feel being gangster, Herr?

[Similarly the prosecutor can appreciate Greed's lack of interest in the machines around him as well.]

According to you, I'm a gangster all the time.

I think you are, but you do a good job of hiding it from me. I can't understand why.

Most people'd take that as a clue that I ain't.

[He laughs, it's not filled with the usual vigor, but he finds Greed amusing] Forgive me...I was just mugged.

You get special treatment.

Because you don't like me. But, Herr, are you saying you don't do anything shady at all on the side?

Ain't I pretty open about most the stuff I want and do and all that? M'not exactly an enigma.

You are, usually, but at the same time you don't talk about yourself that much and you never answer my questions the way I want.

Maybe there ain't much to know. I do like just sending you in circles for kicks. You do know that much.

I don't believe that, you have a lot more dimensions than you're willing to let on...but I do believe you you like sending me in circles. You enjoy frustrating me, I can't understand why.

Come to think of it, it's not really fun anymore, you being who you are. I should probably stop. It's a bad habit to stay in.
